Mearing's Aide is a minor human character who serves as the personal assistant to Charlotte Mearing, the Director of National Intelligence. She appears throughout the third live-action Transformers film, always stationed at Mearing's side and ready to provide whatever is required at a moment's notice. Despite often going unnamed and under-appreciated, she demonstrates a remarkable ability to produce needed items on demand, from a pair of sneakers when Mearing arrives at NEST Headquarters to one of several handbags when Mearing asks for the bag without specifying which. Her role is largely logistical: she carries materials, receives documents such as Jerry Wang's research from Sam Witwicky, and confirms procedural details, for example stating that they are not entrusting national security to teenagers. During the Decepticon invasion of Washington, D.C., she helps keep Mearing organized and in communication with the Pentagon. Later, she accompanies Mearing to Florida to see the Autobots off aboard the Xantium and remains by her side while monitoring the battle in Chicago. Her key relationship is with Mearing, to whom she is consistently attentive and efficient. She interacts briefly with other characters like Sam and Seymour Simmons but never takes a leading role. Her motivations are simply to carry out her duties competently; she shows no personal development or distinct personality beyond her professional reliability. Her notable abilities include quick responsiveness, organizational skills, and the capacity to produce almost any requested object without hesitation.
