Description
Daisuke Yamamoto is the version of Kamen Rider Amazon who resides in the World of Amazon, a parallel universe within the narrative of Kamen Rider Decade. This version of the character is a distinct individual from the original 1974 Kamen Rider Amazon, sharing the same name but existing as a separate entity within the franchise's multiverse. Daisuke's background is that of a wanderer; having spent his life in the Amazon rainforest, he journeyed across the globe, traveling through places like America, Africa, and Europe in a persistent search for a place to belong. Unable to find a home anywhere else, he eventually arrived in Japan, where he became entangled in a conflict with the Geddon organization, also known as the Ten-Faced Demon, and decided to remain in the country. In this world, he uses the Hikari Photo Studio as his hideout, a location that seems to naturally conform to his presence.

In terms of personality, this incarnation of Amazon is characterized by his straightforward, trusting, and almost simple-hearted nature. He speaks of himself in the third person, a trait that underscores his detachment from conventional society. His demeanor is generally good-natured, and he demonstrates a remarkable capacity for trust, quickly opening his heart to Tsukasa Kadoya, the main protagonist of Decade, who suddenly arrives from another world. This connection is so immediate that he declares Tsukasa a friend, a sentiment he expresses with a specific hand gesture reminiscent of the original series. Despite his feral and bestial fighting style, he possesses a soft spot for children, viewing them as pure of heart. However, this trust is not without its limits. When a young boy named Masahiko uses Daisuke to obtain the GiGi Armlet, he becomes disillusioned and loses his faith in humanity. It is only when the boy returns the armlet that Daisuke is able to restore his trust and find a sense of belonging, choosing to stay by the Okamura family. His primary motivation throughout his appearance is the search for a place to call home, a goal he achieves not by finding a physical location but by forming meaningful human connections.

Within the story of Kamen Rider Decade, Daisuke serves as the native Rider of the World of Amazon. He is initially a solitary figure fighting against the Geddon organization. Upon meeting Tsukasa Kadoya, he becomes a key ally, quickly offering his assistance in battle. Unlike many other characters in the series who view Tsukasa as a destroyer of worlds, Daisuke does not harbor any hostility toward him and sees a kindred spirit in the Rider of Passing Through. His most significant relationship is with Masahiko, whose betrayal and subsequent redemption are central to Daisuke regaining his faith in others. In the climax of his world’s story arc, Daisuke fights alongside Decade against powerful enemies like Apollogeist and the monster Yum Cimil. During this final battle, Decade uses a Final Form Ride to equip Daisuke with the GaGa Armlet, the counterpart to his own GiGi Armlet, which allows him to unleash a devastating enhanced version of his finishing move.

As a character, Daisuke undergoes a notable but compact development arc. He begins as a lonely wanderer who has been used and has lost trust in people, but he evolves to find his place in the world, reaffirming his belief in humanity through his bond with the Okamura family. This personal resolution mirrors the arc of the original Amazon, but it is tailored to the parallel world setting of Decade. He also demonstrates growth in his reliance on others, moving from a figure who fights alone to one who willingly accepts aid from Tsukasa to become more powerful in the final battle.

As Kamen Rider Amazon, Daisuke Yamamoto possesses a suite of formidable and ferocious abilities. His Rider form is biologically altered rather than cybernetic, granting him an animalistic and berserker-like fighting style that involves tearing and cutting opponents with his claws and fangs. He stands at 175 centimeters tall and weighs 62 kilograms. In this form, his physical parameters are superhuman, with a punching power of 25 tons, a kicking power of 30 tons, the ability to jump up to 40 meters, and a running speed of 100 meters in 0.9 seconds. He transforms by crying out "A-MA-ZON!" while his human eyes glow red, completing the metamorphosis into his Rider suit. Amazon's primary finishing move is the Wild Slash, a powerful chopping attack that easily cleaves through the flesh of monsters. He also possesses a biting attack called the Jaguar Shock. When Decade provides him with the GaGa Armlet, he combines it with his own GiGi Armlet to perform the Super Wild Slash, a much more powerful and energized version of his standard finishing technique capable of destroying far greater foes.
