Description
Kazuma Kendate is a resident of the world of Blade and an employee of the BOARD Corporation, where he holds the rank of Ace and possesses the ability to transform into Kamen Rider Blade using the sealed Beetle Undead. He is an alternate incarnation of the original Kazuma Kenzaki, adapted to fit the distinct corporate structure of his world.

Initially, Kazuma is defined by his pride, which stems directly from his high ranking. He sees himself as nearly invincible and views his position as a testament to his superiority. This arrogance leads him to prioritize rules and results, but a pivotal moment occurs when he violates a company directive to protect a fellow Rider, Mutsuki, during a battle. This act of compassion, ironically, results in his demotion. Forced to work under Tsukasa Kadoya, the protagonist, in the employee cafeteria, Kazuma struggles with the loss of status. The humiliation compounds as he faces further demotions, the stress of kitchen work, and an eventual demand to surrender his transformation belt, the Blay Buckle.

His motivation shifts from a selfish pursuit of regaining his former glory to a more selfless drive. Refusing to give up his belt, he initially attempts to prove his worth by hunting Undead alone. However, after being fired and encouraged by Tsukasa and Yusuke Onodera, he learns that leadership and rank are not everything, and that followers are just as important as leaders. His ultimate motivation becomes protecting his colleagues and his world, culminating in him teaming up with Decade to confront the corrupt president of BOARD, who is revealed to be the Joker Undead. He develops from a prideful elite into a more grounded and cooperative hero, humbly thanking Tsukasa and expressing confidence in looking after his workplace, the Ace Lunch.

In the story, Kazuma is a primary ally in the World of Blade arc, serving as a parallel and foil to the heroic ideals of other Riders. His key relationships include a complex dynamic with Tsukasa Kadoya, whom he often addresses with the mispronunciation "cheese" instead of "chief," a quirk that may reflect a subtle mockery or simple error. He also forms a bond with Yusuke Onodera, whose encouragement helps him find a new path. Later, in the World of the Rider War, Kazuma appears as the president of BOARD and a leader of his world's Riders, initially refusing Tsukasa's call for help before having a change of heart and joining the final battle against Super Apollo Geist. This arc sees his world destroyed, causing him to fade away, though he is eventually resurrected.

Notable abilities are derived from his Kamen Rider Blade transformation. As Blade, he harnesses the DNA of the Beetle Undead through his Ace Form, utilizing the Blay Rouzer saber to activate sealed cards for various attacks, such as the Lightning Blast and Lightning Sonic. In the series, he primarily uses this default form, but in the movie Movie War 2010, he accesses advanced forms, including Jack Form, which grants him flight, and the powerful King Form, which covers him in golden armor and allows him to use the King Rouzer. A unique ability granted through Decade's Final Form Ride card transforms him into the Blade Blade, a giant sword wielded by Decade against his enemies.
