OVA
Description
Evan is a supporting character in the original animation DVD series *The Boy from the West and the Knight of the Blue Storm* and serves as the master of the Wild Hunt, a supernatural group drawn from European folklore.

Initially appearing in his "Lost Form," Evan resembles a prepubescent boy with fair skin, white shoulder-length hair, and red eyes. He wears a blue tunic over a pale undershirt, grey pants, a brown belt, and red-cloth shoes. A green short sword in a pale scabbard hangs from his belt, and around his neck he carries the Master of the Hunt Hunting Horn, an emblem of his leadership.

Upon regaining his memories and reverting to his "True Form," his appearance shifts dramatically. His skin turns deathly pale, his red eyes fade, and his white hair lengthens to his waist, woven with several braids. Blue markings appear on his face, and he is clad in armor with a red cape, assuming a more noble and imposing bearing.

Evan lost his memories after a lightning strike separated him from his steed and the Wild Hunt. Found disoriented and melancholic by a human boy named Gabriel, the two developed a strong bond over two days. During this time, Gabriel named him "Evan" after the protagonist of an old French story, offering Evan his first experience of life beyond the Hunt.

Reuniting with his black horse restored Evan’s memories and purpose, triggering his return to his true form. He sounded his horn to summon the Wild Hunt, but it did not immediately answer—a complication potentially influenced by Gabriel’s desire not to be parted from him, as the act of naming may have granted the boy some sway over the Hunt.

Evan’s fae nature shapes his possessive perspective on love and friendship. When Gabriel asked to join the Hunt but later changed his mind, Evan reluctantly respected his wish to return home. After being restrained by Elias Ainsworth, Evan helped Gabriel dismount by giving him a push.

His relationship with his black horse is one of deep companionship; their reunion is a gentle, affectionate moment where they hold each other close.
