Description
Akira Nezu is a character who appears as an antagonist within the narrative of Bad Company. His background is initially defined by his relationship with a young woman named Natsuki, whom he dates. He is also the owner of a Honda CBX motorcycle, a possession that becomes a central point of conflict in the story.

Nezu's personality is characterized by aggression, violence, and a domineering nature. He is depicted as a bully who resorts to physical abuse, as seen when he beats Natsuki. His motivations are driven by a sense of ownership and control, both over his girlfriend and his property. When his motorcycle is given away, his primary response is not negotiation but intimidation and threats, demanding a large sum of money from Ryuji and threatening to kill him if he does not comply.

His role in the story is that of a direct and violent obstacle for the protagonist, Ryuji. He is the source of a major conflict, pushing Ryuji into a desperate situation where he feels the only solution is to attempt to kill Nezu. In their confrontation, Nezu demonstrates notable physical ability, quickly gaining the upper hand in a fight against Ryuji, who had attacked him with a suspension bar. Nezu is about to kill Ryuji when Natsuki intervenes by stabbing Nezu with a kitchen knife.

Regarding his development, the primary narrative ends with Nezu being seriously injured but surviving the stabbing. Natsuki is later released from jail because his injury was not serious. An alternate version of events exists in a live-action film adaptation, where Nezu dies from his wounds. In this version, his character undergoes a significant shift as he takes the blame for his own stabbing, claiming it was self-inflicted in order to protect Natsuki from going to jail.
