Description
Mr. Kawano, whose full name is Takafumi Kawano, is a producer at Gaia Records and the first person to discover the punk band Black Stones, also known as Blast. He is an older man with grey hair and wears glasses, often appearing in a gray suit. His personality is kind-hearted and well-meaning; although he does not have deep knowledge of punk or rock music, he is thoroughly impressed by the band’s charm and the charismatic presence of lead vocalist Nana Osaki. He fully believes in Blast’s potential for success despite skepticism from executives and his peers. His motivation stems from a genuine desire to support the band and help them achieve professional recognition. In the story, Mr. Kawano serves as a key industry figure who facilitates the band’s debut and offers guidance during their early career. He interacts most often with Nana Osaki and the other members of Black Stones, and he is notably concerned about the well-being of the bassist Shinichi Okazaki, having been quite shocked by the attitude of Shin’s father. Mr. Kawano undergoes limited personal development but remains a steady, supportive presence throughout the narrative. His notable ability is recognizing musical talent and navigating the music industry to provide opportunities for the artists he believes in.
