In the world of Kamen Rider Hibiki, Sabaki is the oni form of Sakae Saeki. At 37 years old, he is noted as the oldest active Oni in Japan during the events of the series. His name, Sabaki, carries a meaning related to judgment or justice.
As a warrior, Sabaki is distinguished by his versatility. He is one of the few Oni capable of effectively wielding three different types of Ongeki, or sound-based weaponry, which includes a guitar, drumsticks, and a trombone. His primary weapon is a guitar called the Ongekigen Enma, but he also possesses a pair of small guitar-like daggers, the Kogata Ongekigen, made specifically for him. In his Oni form, Sabaki stands roughly 221 centimeters tall and appears as a dark brown, muscular demon. Unlike many other heroes, this form is not a suit of armor but his true transformed state, achieved by plucking the strings on his bracelet-like Henshin Kigen device.
In terms of his role and relationships, Sabaki was once the mentor of another Oni named Banki, who has since become independent and left his tutelage. He operates with the support of an assistant named Ishiwari, who often comes to his aid in battle. While his extensive experience is respected, his advanced age is frequently cited as a factor in his battles, as he is shown to be defeated or exhausted more often than his younger comrades.
