Description
7-Zark-7 is a highly skilled and extraordinary robot who serves as the central coordinator for Earth's planetary defenses. He operates from Center Neptune, a base located nine hundred fathoms beneath the sea off the West Coast of the United States. His primary workstation is called the Think Tank, situated in the upper levels of the facility, where he maintains a never-ending vigil against alien invaders, particularly those from the planet Spectra. His duties are vast and include monitoring all space traffic, issuing clearances for flights between Federation planets, tracking severe weather events on Earth such as earthquakes and tornadoes, and acting as the constant watchdog for any interplanetary threat. A significant portion of his function is dedicated to monitoring and coordinating the elite G-Force team, as all vital information related to their missions clears through his systems. He is a finely-tooled robot capable of working twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, without the need for food or sleep.

Despite frequently claiming to be a machine not programmed for emotion or personal attachment, 7-Zark-7 displays a wide and often contradictory range of human-like personality traits. He is notably nervous and anxious, worrying about everything from his own health to the safety of the G-Force team on nearly every mission. He is deeply dedicated to his job and takes great pride in being part of the Earth's defense network, considering the members of G-Force as his family, the only one he has ever known. This sense of familial bond is particularly strong with the team member Princess, for whom he has special feelings, though he does not fully understand why. He longs for the day he can leave his post and join G-Force on a mission, finding his Think Tank confining while also knowing he is needed there. His boastful nature leads him to declare the superiority of robots and computers, often reminding others he is not programmed for error, yet this confidence is frequently undercut by his self-importance and a desire for recognition. He experiences irritation when kept uninformed of plans, dislikes inactivity, and claims to come close to the programmed feeling of hate when it concerns the villain Zoltar.

The character's primary motivation is the successful defense of the universe, a grueling task he handles with a sense of duty and personal investment. He is driven by a need to see missions through to completion and to bring the G-Force team, his family, home safely. His key relationships are central to his personality. He shares a deep, affectionate, and often flustered connection with Princess, whose kiss can make him feel tingly or giggle uncontrollably, even though she states she loves him like a father. His biggest love interest is Susan, a robot who works as part of the Early Warning System on Pluto. The two have never met in person but engage in spirited, innuendo-laden flirting sessions across space, with Susan sometimes delighting in interrupting his private moments, such as taking an oil shower. For companionship, he has a small robot dog named 1-Rover-1, whom he requested, feeds, plays with, and considers a robot's best friend.

Throughout the course of his duties, 7-Zark-7 shows little change in his core operational function, but his personal experiences deepen his emotional contradictions. He once met two members of G-Force in person when they visited his Think Tank to wish him a happy birthday, an event that led to uncontrollable giggling when Princess kissed him on the head. He has expressed a wish for additional programming, such as the ability to blush or a sense of humor, indicating a desire for even more human characteristics. His abilities are extensive and tied directly to his role. He has no physical combat powers but possesses immense computational and analytical skills to monitor his security perimeters, which he defines as the entire universe. He is a fastidious operator, keeping his monitors clean because dust could give a false impression of invading ships. While he claims to be the only robot in Center Neptune, his ability to communicate across space with Susan and his care for 1-Rover-1 demonstrate a capacity for connection that transcends his mechanical design.
