Description
Mahfouz is a young boy from Qatar who appears in the live-action Transformers film. He resides in a village located some distance from the SOCCENT Forward Operations Base and lives with his father, Akram. Despite not being a member of the military, Mahfouz is a familiar presence around the base and has become a good friend to Captain William Lennox and his Army Ranger unit. His regular presence led to him being affectionately considered an unofficial member or mascot of the team.

Mahfouz demonstrates resourcefulness and courage beyond his years when the military base comes under sudden attack by a Decepticon. Amidst the chaos and danger, he follows Lennox and the soldiers as they seek cover and attempt to evade the giant robot. The following morning, after the unit has survived the destruction of their base, Mahfouz takes on a critical role. He leads the stranded American soldiers across the Qatari countryside toward his home village, knowing that they can use a telephone there to contact the Pentagon for help. Upon reaching the outskirts of the village, the group is ambushed by a giant, metal scorpion-like creature. Mahfouz guides Captain Lennox specifically to his house, where his father provides the cell phone needed to call for military support. After the United States Air Force arrives and drives off the scorpion, Mahfouz is safely reunited with his father. His primary motivation throughout the ordeal is one of loyalty and helpfulness, using his local knowledge to assist his friends in a life-threatening situation. Information on his personality beyond his actions, his internal development, or any notable non-human abilities is not present in the available sources.
