Description
Natsuki Minamiya serves as an English teacher at Saikai Academy while simultaneously functioning as a high-ranking attack mage overseeing security on Itogami Island. She bears the title "Witch of the Void" due to her mastery of space manipulation magic. Her duties include guarding the legendary magical Prison Barrier, requiring her physical body to remain sealed within it to maintain its integrity. The version appearing outside is a magical illusion, explaining her perpetually youthful appearance despite her actual age of 26. This childlike form resulted from an enchanted sleep that halted her aging for a decade, though she manifests an adult form matching her biological age while within the prison.

Her background includes meeting Gajou Akatsuki after an incident involving the "Fairy's Coffin" and the Black Death Emperor Faction. Gajou entrusted her with watching over his children, including Kojou Akatsuki, whom she later discovers is the Fourth Primogenitor—a secret she safeguards. She maintains a stern teacher persona, exemplified when she disguised herself as a student to apprehend a molester targeting her pupils. Despite this strictness, she demonstrates care for her students, such as taking the homunculus Astarte to a festival.

A pivotal development occurs during the "Banquet for the Observers" arc. Attacked by escaped prisoners, she loses her memories and powers to Aya Tokoyogi. Teleporting near the Keystone Gate in a weakened state, she instinctively encounters her student Asagi Aiba, who cares for her and temporarily names her "Sana." Her memories and abilities restore after consuming Kojou Akatsuki's blood, reactivating her magic. During this arc, she summons her guardian, Rain Gold—a knight in golden armor whose full power remains sealed to prevent catastrophic damage.

Her magical abilities include projecting chains for combat or restraint, manipulating space for teleportation or enhanced agility, and creating illusions. She wields a dimensional sword and employs defensive shock waves. Her space manipulation also permits limited temporal travel. As the sole keeper of the Prison Barrier, her death would release all incarcerated supernatural criminals, underscoring her critical role.

Natsuki evolves from a distant authority figure to actively collaborating with protagonists like Kojou and Yukina Himeragi in battles, such as against angelic entities. Her deeper motivations include advocating for human-demon coexistence. Personal traits include a preference for Ceylon tea infused with herbs and brandy and a distinctive gothic lolita fashion sense.
