Description
Mutsuki Kamijou is the young man who transforms into Kamen Rider Leangle. In the film Kamen Rider Blade: Missing Ace, set four years after an alternate conclusion to the original series, Mutsuki has graduated from high school and is attempting to leave his life as a Kamen Rider behind. He is focused on finding a job and living as an ordinary person, initially showing reluctance and even annoyance when Kazuma Kenzaki and Kotaro Shirai reappear in his life. This desire to forget his past stems from the traumatic experiences he endured during the Battle Fight, including being mentally dominated by the Spider Undead sealed within his own transformation device.

Despite his attempts at a normal life, Mutsuki still carries the core of his personality: a fundamentally timid and conflict‑avoidant nature that masks a deep‑seated wish to become strong enough to protect others. His earlier development in the series gave him a clear motivation to fight for the smiles of the people he saves, and that conviction never fully vanished. When Sakuya Tachibana, now leading a rebuilt BOARD, seals the Spider Undead and restores Mutsuki’s ability to become Leangle, he readily returns to the battle against the newly released Undead. He demonstrates his growth by sealing the Beetle Undead and later providing Kenzaki with the means to reclaim Blade’s powers, showing that he has matured into a reliable ally.

In the film, Mutsuki’s key relationships include his mentor Sakuya Tachibana, who taught him how to fight as a Rider and helped him find a reason to fight; his girlfriend Nozomi Yamanaka, whose unwavering support helped him resist the Spider Undead’s control; and the high‑class Club Undead, especially Shima (Tarantula Undead) and Jou (Tiger Undead), who sacrificed themselves to help him master Leangle’s power. He also works closely with Kenzaki and Hajime Aikawa, and though he once envied their strength, he now fights alongside them without jealousy.

Mutsuki’s role in Missing Ace is that of a recovered veteran who must confront his past and decide whether to embrace his identity as a Kamen Rider once more. He initially resists but ultimately chooses to fight, helping to recapture the Category Aces and later working with Kenzaki to free Hajime from the Joker card. He faces the Albino Joker and the colossal Jashin 14 without hesitation, proving his courage has fully matured.

Notable abilities as Kamen Rider Leangle include the use of the Rouzer to seal Undead and the unique capacity to unseal and command his own high‑rank Undead cards, such as the Tarantula and Tiger Undead, to gain their powers. He does not have a Jack form but can employ the King Rouzer when fully in control of his system. In the film, he fights effectively as Leangle, showing improved combat skill and resolve, and he helps secure the victory that restores peace to the world. By the end, Mutsuki has reconciled his past and present, ready to continue protecting the ordinary life he worked so hard to build.
