Description
Deathgaron is a humanoid insect robot from the Kamen Rider Black RX television series, specifically appearing as an antagonist sent to eliminate the protagonist, Kohtaro Minami. His name is also phonetically translated as Desugaron. Upon confronting Kohtaro, Deathgaron introduces himself as a "Demon Robot" and makes his intentions clear, stating that he will not allow the hero to proceed. His primary mission is to prevent Kohtaro from finding a kidnapped ally named Hitomi Sahara, who has been taken by another villain named Maribaron.

In terms of personality, Deathgaron demonstrates a sense of duty and a drive for redemption. After suffering a defeat at the hands of a creature named Triplon, he offers his services to Maribaron in return for a chance to redeem himself. This action suggests a character motivated by a code of honor or a need to restore his standing, even when dealing with other villains. However, his desire for redemption is exploited, as Maribaron deceives him. This betrayal leads to a critical moment where Deathgaron is sealed in a room with Kamen Rider Black RX. In that space, he destroys a replica of Hitomi, an act that ultimately triggers the hero to transform into the more powerful RoboRider form. After being heavily damaged in the ensuing battle by the Vortech Shooter, a dying Deathgaron reveals the crucial information that the real Hitomi is still alive and with Maribaron. This final act of revealing the truth serves as a key narrative function, advancing the story despite his villainous role.

Deathgaron is equipped with an array of impressive weapons and abilities that classify him as a significant threat. He carries a ray gun and has a pair of bladed boomerangs stored within his shoulders that he can deploy in combat. His physical capabilities are enhanced by the ability to fire energy beams directly from his forehead and to charge his punches with destructive energy. He also possesses a notable physical feature, a red button on the left side of his chest which, when pressed by the hero, opens a portal to the Desert of Death. In a later film appearance, Kamen Rider BLACK RX: Running Around the World, Deathgaron returns and is equipped with a bazooka to assist other villains in their attack on Kohtaro. In this final confrontation, he is destroyed by the hero using the Revolcane weapon.
