Description
The character known as Girochinzaurusu is a kaijin, or monster, from the Destron organization, the evil group opposing the hero Kamen Rider V3. His physical design is a mechanical synthesis of a carnivorous dinosaur and a guillotine, which directly informs his primary function and abilities. Standing 175 centimeters tall and weighing 65 kilograms, this particular Destron monster is distinguished by the fearsome weapon that serves as his right hand: a sharp and massive guillotine blade. His body is also equipped with a yoke on his left side, designed to lock an opponent's head in place so the guillotine can decapitate them. In addition to this close-range killing method, he can breathe a stream of scorching flames from his mouth. His primary weakness is a lack of effectiveness in long-range combat.
Girochinzaurusu is deeply involved in Destron's Shikoku Occupation Plan, a scheme to seize control of the Shikoku region of Japan. The monster is personally responsible for overseeing this operation and eliminating anyone who threatens it. His personality is that of a dedicated and ruthless operative, willing to use underhanded tactics to achieve his mission. He possesses the ability to disguise himself as a human, typically taking the form of a man dressed entirely in black in order to move through society undetected. He is also the guardian of a critical piece of Destron technology known as the SS Device, which stands for Super Sleep. This machine emits a powerful, wide-range sonic wave capable of putting every human being across the entire Shikoku region into a deep slumber, leaving the area defenseless for takeover.
In the story, Girochinzaurusu serves as a direct and persistent antagonist to the protagonist, Shiro Kazami, who transforms into Kamen Rider V3. His role unfolds over a multi-part confrontation. When two technicians betray Destron, destroy the SS Device, and escape, Girochinzaurusu is dispatched to rectify the situation. He intercepts Kazami on a boat headed to Shikoku, attacking him and knocking him into the sea. He then attempts to kill Kazami's allies, but is thwarted by the arrival of Kamen Rider V3 himself, who instead throws the monster into the ocean. Later, he confronts V3 again at Matsuyama Castle. After retreating from a losing battle, he retreats to a shipyard where he takes several of the hero's friends hostage, demonstrating his pragmatic and cruel nature by using them to corner his enemy. Just as he is about to execute V3, his guillotine blade is deflected by a new technique, and the hostages are freed by the Boys Kamen Rider Squad, a group of child supporters, forcing him to retreat once more.
Despite these setbacks, Girochinzaurusu does not undergo a significant personal transformation or change in allegiance. His development is more about the escalation of his tactics, from direct assault to elaborate ambushes and hostage situations, all of which ultimately prove futile against the hero. His key relationship within the Destron forces is with another monster, Dokubari Gumo. He works in tandem with Dokubari Gumo, coordinating strategies to trap and destroy Kamen Rider V3. Ultimately, after a series of failed traps, Girochinzaurusu and his ally engage V3 in a final battle. The confrontation concludes with the monster being struck by V3's signature V3 Kaiten Kick, which causes him to explode and be destroyed.
