"Hiatari Ryoukou!" is a slice-of-life romantic comedy manga set in a boarding house, focusing on the daily lives and relationships of its residents. The central character is Yusaku Godai, a high school student who moves into Maison Ikkoku, a rundown boarding house, to focus on his studies and prepare for university entrance exams.
