Description
A 24-year-old salaryman named Sanada Shirou, exhausted by his exploitative black company, is forced to work on a fishing trip during his holiday. After catching a magical flounder, he frees it in exchange for a wish. Following a few rejected requests, he wishes for the ability to create things, which the fish grants. Moments later, a strange black hole swallows him and deposits him in the middle of a war zone in another world.

This new world has a critical difference from his own: it is a matriarchal society where women overwhelmingly hold the power. They are the warriors, rulers, and adventurers who perform all dangerous jobs and fight on the front lines. Men, conversely, are considered physically weak and are largely powerless, unable to use magic. They are protected by women and typically fill domestic roles as cooks, spouses, and homemakers. As a man from a patriarchal world, Shirou finds himself at the bottom of this unfamiliar social hierarchy, viewed as a fragile and exotic prize.

Upon arrival, Shirou is immediately captured by female soldiers, who sexually assault him. He is then thrown in with a cellmate, a princess named Christia who is scheduled for execution in three days. As a final request, the captured Shirou is given to Christia as a form of property. Realizing their dire situation, the two form an unlikely alliance and manage to escape the conflict together.

After fleeing the war-torn mainland, Shirou and Christia discover an uncharted island. Exploring further, Shirou finds a dungeon on the island and decides it is the perfect opportunity to finally live the slow, peaceful life he has always wanted. Using his unique Creation Magic, an ability that allows him to materialize objects over time, he begins building an inn from scratch. His plan is to operate a quiet establishment for adventurers, but the constant stream of powerful and aggressive women from this matriarchal world turns his dream of a slow life into a chaotic and often lewd adventure.

The narrative unfolds in distinct story arcs, each introducing new female characters who become involved with Shirou. Early arcs establish the inn on the island and see him clashing with and then befriending a domineering pirate captain, leading to a mutiny and a brutal cycle of revenge from her crew. The story consistently explores the theme of deliberate values dissonance, as Shirou struggles to adapt to Victorian-era social mores that have been reversed. For example, he finds that women have no qualms about public nudity but find the sight of his bare legs to be scandalously titillating. Because men without female guardians are socially vulnerable, Shirou frequently fends off advances and threats from many women who see him as easy prey. Despite the serious and often dramatic threats of sexual violence, the tone balances these moments with humor derived from misunderstandings and Shirou’s self-aware, somewhat feminine perspective as he navigates a world where he is the object of desire. His central theme involves using his magical abilities to overcome adversity, build his establishment, and inadvertently assemble a devoted following of powerful women, all while trying to maintain his sanity and his inn. The manga is ongoing, with the English-language release licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment.
