Azami Fukurai has a peculiar constitution that forces her to see strange and unsettling things invisible to others. Hoping to cure this troubling ability, she seeks out the Urban Myth Dissolution Center, an organization that scientifically investigates and debunks supernatural rumors and urban legends. There she meets Wataru Mawariya, a wheelchair-bound young man who serves as a skilled occult expert and investigator for the Center.

Rather than curing her, Wataru recognizes the value of Azami's unique gift. She is recruited as a new member, and her ability to perceive the weird becomes an essential tool in the Center's work. Together, they take on cases involving mysterious phenomena, strange curses, and whispered legends, systematically analyzing evidence to separate fact from fiction. The story follows Azami as she navigates her new role, her growing involvement with the enigmatic Wataru, and her gradual immersion into a world where urban myths blur the line between reality and the paranormal.
