He performed the song Junreisha for the second episode of that series. For the 1989 Guyver OVA, The Guyver: Bio-Booster Armor, Ishihara performed both the opening theme Kyoushoku Soukou Guyver and the ending theme Michishirube -Igyō no Messiah-. The lyrics for the opening theme were written by the manga's original creator Yoshiki Takaya, with composition by Norizumi Morooka and arrangement by Norimasa Yamanaka. For the 1992 Babel II OVA, Ishihara performed two ending themes: Babel/Kodoku no Monument for the first episode and Arashi no Lullaby for the second episode. Both songs featured lyrics by Keiji Mizutani and composition and arrangement by Takeo Miratsu.

Beyond these works, Ishihara has performed theme songs for numerous other productions. He sang the opening theme for Kyukyu Sentai GoGoFive, the Super Sentai series from 1999 to 2000, as well as the theme for Juukou B-Fighter.
