Perhaps you've already heard (from fan sites or the official page): The first Pokémon Center outside of Japan is opening its doors for the first time in America. The launch date is November 16th.

What will be offered? Since Nintendo, as usual, remains silent, we did some research for you on what such Centers have to offer. Here’s a small glimpse into a Center from Japan: First and foremost, it’s purely a shopping salon. Alongside various Pokémon games, you’ll find a trading card museum featuring the rarest cards in existence. Of course, you can also buy booster packs there. Additionally, a Pokémon magazine will be available, which you can have delivered to your home month after month—but only after signing up (for free). Other fan merchandise includes the usual plush and plastic toys.

Sounds nice, doesn’t it? But what really makes these Centers special? For starters, you can buy exclusive merchandise there (GameBoy Advance consoles with various Pokémon designs and colors). Furthermore, the anime runs all day on a video recorder. Lastly, it’s a well-known meeting spot where you can play against strangers on your GameBoy.

We (still) don’t know if the details described above will apply to the US Center as well, but it would be nice if they did. Nintendo America will probably only release more info on November 16th.
