First, the main cast has been officially announced. Junya Enoki will voice the protagonist Masamune Okumura. Kaori Maeda will lend her voice to Ririsa Amano, who is also referred to as Lilysa in some translations, and Akari Kitō will portray Mikari Tachibana.

The responsibility of steering the anime in the desired direction lies with Hideki Okamoto, who serves as director and collaborates with the renowned studio J.C. Staff. The series' structure is in the capable hands of Takao Yoshioka, while Tomoyuki Shitaya is in charge of character design. The musical score will be composed by Hiroaki Tsutsumi.

The plot of "2.5 Dimensional Seduction" delves into the world of Okumura, a devoted manga enthusiast with a clear preference for 2D characters over real people. His world changes dramatically when Lilysa, a cosplay enthusiast, appears in his school's manga club.

Since its debut on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ website in 2019, the manga has steadily built a solid readership, as evidenced by the release of its 17th volume. An 18th volume is also planned for September.
