Studio Colorido has released the official trailer and poster for its latest anime film, "A Contrarian's Love and Hate." At the same time, it was announced that the band Zutomayo will compose the theme song and insert music for the film. The movie poster and further details about the collaboration with Zutomayo have now been officially released.

"A Contrarian's Love and Hate" tells the story of a boy named Shu, who cannot say no due to his fear of not being liked, and Tsumugi, a demon girl who believes it is important to express one's feelings. This youth fantasy is the fourth feature film by Studio Colorido, following "Penguin Highway," "A Whisker Away," and "Drifting Home." The film will be released worldwide exclusively on Netflix on May 24 and will also hit theaters in Japan.

The voice cast includes Kensho Ono as Shu and Miyu Tomita as Tsumugi, alongside Shintaro Asanuma, Ki Yamane, Tomoko Shiota, Shiro Saito, Mio Tanaka, Satsuki Yukino, Shozo Sasaki, Noriko Hidaka, Satoru Mikami, and Naoko Kyoda. Additionally, a new fantasy element has been introduced to the plot, suggesting that one can turn into a demon if they suppress their emotions too much.

Zutomayo has written new songs specifically for the film, including the theme song "It's Not a Lie" and the insert song "Blues in the Closet." The theme song can be heard in the 90-second official trailer.
