A new chapter for the Pokémon anime series: New visuals and character updates introduced

For the anime series Pokémon Horizons, recent visual material has been released, offering a glimpse into the future development of the plot. The illustration shows the main characters in a new appearance, accompanied by a variety of other trainers and Pokémon.

The visual depiction confirms that the protagonists Liko, Roy, and Dot undergo a time skip and will be portrayed older in the upcoming story. Estimates suggest an age of around 15 years. Each character is associated with specific Pokémon: Liko is seen with Hattrem and Meowscarada, Roy with Crocalor, Kilowattrel, and a shiny Mega Lucario. Dot appears in the background with Quaxwell. Additionally, a new, previously unknown character with green hair and a Mega Sableye is visible in the image.

The released material also provides insight into the narrative direction. The title of the new story arc is "Mega Voltage," hinting at a thematic connection to Mega Evolution. The presence of the Pokémon Terapagos in a Poké Ball suggests it will not actively participate in events for the time being. Likewise, the airship of the "Rising Volt Tacklers" is depicted, indicating that the traveling group is likely to remain intact.

It has been confirmed that a character named Luka will reappear in an upcoming episode. A guest voice actor has been cast for the dubbing of this role.
