The production of a second season of the animation series "A Returner's Magic Should Be Special" was officially confirmed. The new episodes are scheduled to be released in the year 2026.

The announcement was made as part of the "Crunchyroll Showcase" event at the New York Comic Con 2025. At the same time, a new visual trailer was released, which provides insights into the upcoming plot.

The plot of the series is based on the South Korean webtoon template and follows the magician Desir Arman. After he failed in a decisive battle against a dragon and witnessed the downfall of his world, he unexpectedly finds himself thirteen years in the past. On his first day at the Hebron Academy, he begins a new attempt to avert the threatening future.

The first season of the series was produced by ARVO Animation and comprised twelve episodes. Director Kawaguchi Tashi and screenwriter Hirono Takamitsu are expected to be responsible for the second season as well. The dubbed main roles are expected to be spoken again by Terashima Takuma, Suzushiro Sayumi, and Fujiwara Natsumi.
