A Sign of Affection - Episode 10

The episode begins with Yuki spending her first night at Itsuomi's place. She notices the differences in the body care products used in Itsuomi's home and reflects on the unique, worldly character of Itsuomi's room. During the stay, they also watch a silent film with subtitles, an approach Itsuomi chose to make the experience more accessible for Yuki, who is deaf.

During the night, Yuki receives a message from her friend Madoka, who has gotten a job interview. Like Yuki, Madoka is deaf but is fluent in both sign language and spoken language. Itsuomi is impressed by the two women's communication skills.

A physical closeness develops between Yuki and Itsuomi, ending in a kiss. They spend the night in the same room, but Yuki has the bed to herself and struggles to sleep.

The next day, the story shifts to the college, where Oushi confronts Itsuomi and questions his intentions with Yuki. Despite Oushi's hostility, Itsuomi expresses a desire to understand him better and invites him for a casual outing to a bar. There, despite Oushi's resistance, Itsuomi manages to engage him in conversation and shares more about himself without confrontation.

Oushi reflects on his past interactions with Yuki and recounts the moment he became interested in learning sign language after witnessing Yuki's joy in communication. His thoughts are intertwined with memories of fireworks, highlighting his early fascination with Yuki.

The episode ends with a confrontation between Itsuomi and Oushi, where Itsuomi firmly declares his commitment to Yuki and questions Oushi's previous significance in Yuki's life.
