“Arctic Department Store”: Mysterious penguin Elrul with cryptic sayings in the trailer

The animated film "The Concierge," based on the original work by Nishimura Tsuchika, has released its web trailer. The film, set to hit theaters on October 20th, follows Akino, who works at an unusual Arctic department store where all the customers are animals. She aspires to become a full-fledged concierge and tackles her daily tasks with determination.

The trailer features the catchy theme song "Gift" by Myuk, while introducing a series of animal customers one after another. Toward the end of the trailer, a Caribbean monk seal suddenly collapses, and Akino is closely watched by a mysterious penguin named Elrul. He says, "Who do you think will survive, the strong or the wise?" The characters are voiced by Kawaida Natsumi as Akino, Otsuka Takeo as Elrul, and Hikami Kyoko as the Caribbean monk seal.
