The recently held Aniplex Online Fest 2023 revealed a series of details about "Butareba: The Story of a Man Turned into a Pig," an upcoming TV anime adaptation of Takuma Sakai's light novel series. The series will premiere on October 7, with Mamiko Noto voicing the character Brace.





The opening theme, "Watashi ga Warau Riyū wa," will be performed by ASCA, while the ending theme, "Hitori Janai yo," will be brought to life by Myuk.

Previous announcements had already revealed the cast, including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Pig, Tomori Kusunoki as Jess, Miyu Tomita as Ceres, and Kent Itō as Nott. The anime is directed by Masayuki Takahashi and produced by Project No.9. Deko Akao is in charge of the series' scripts, and Susumu Watanabe handles the character design. The musical score is composed by Kenichiro Suehiro and MAYUKO.

The plot revolves around a unique isekai concept: consuming raw pig liver and subsequently losing consciousness leads to being reborn as a pig in a fantastical realm. The protagonist, an ordinary otaku with no special abilities, experiences this bizarre reincarnation and embarks on an adventurous journey alongside Jess, a kind-hearted girl who can read minds.
