Adaptation of Honobu Yonezawa's Novel: "Koshimin Series" Anime Premiere and Details

The TV anime adaptation of Honobu Yonezawa's novel series "Koshimin Series" will begin airing on July 6 across 24 stations in the Asahi Network's "NUMAnimation" slot. Along with this announcement, details about the opening and ending theme songs, the main visual, and the second promotional video were released.

- The opening song "Sweet Memory" is performed by Eve.

- The ending theme "Wakarinikui" is performed by the three-piece rock band ammo from Osaka.

Both Eve and Yusei Okamoto, the singer and guitarist of ammo, shared their enthusiasm and stories related to the term "Koshimin."

Main Visual and Promotional Video:

The main visual features the protagonists Jogo Kobato and Yuki Kosanai riding a bicycle together. The second promotional video also includes a snippet of the opening song.

Plot:

The "Koshimin Series" anime is based on Yonezawa's mystery novels "The Case of the Springtime Strawberry Tart" and "The Case of the Summertime Tropical Parfait." The story follows Jogo Kobato, who, after bitter experiences from past detective activities, aims to live a modest and quiet life as a "Koshimin" or "small citizen." He forms a mutual support relationship with his classmate Yuki Kosanai, who shares the same goal. Despite their intentions, they find themselves entangled in a series of mysterious incidents and mishaps.
