On Wednesday, Shonen Sunday magazine of Shogakukan has revealed its 14th issue of this year. In this issue they informed that Yoru no Honki Dance band is going to perform a song ‘Shiny’, the song will be the opening theme song for the animation which will be based on Rumiko Takahashi’s manga RIN-NE.

The animation will be released on 8 April on NHK-E TV. At every Saturday on 5:35 PM new episodes of animation will be released. The cast for the animation is Megumi Hayashibara as Otome Rokudo and Miyuki Sawashiro as Anematsuri Annette Hitomi.

The television animation series RIN-NE 2 has already been published in Japan. The animation was streamed by Crunchyroll and it was licensed for home video by Sentai Filmworks. The first 25 episodes of the animation were released in April 2015; it was steamed and licensed by Crunchyroll and Sentai Filmworks respectively.

The manga was launched by Takahashi in Shonen Sunday magazine; it was launched just after the ending of Inuyasha in 2009. On 26 December, the 34th book volume of the manga RIN-NE was shipped in Japan. The manga was released in English by Viz Media.
