For the announced anime adaptation of the series "Hidarikiki no Eren" (Left-Handed Ellen), further details regarding the cast have been released. Five additional voice actors and their respective roles have been officially confirmed.
The series is based on a successful comic by Kappii and is set in the world of advertising. It follows the young art director Asakura Kōichi, who meets the exceptionally talented but eccentric copywriter Ellen. The plot examines the dynamics of creativity, ambition, and interpersonal relationships in a highly competitive professional environment.
The voice actors newly joined to the project and their characters are:
- Yui Ishikawa as Sayuri Katō, a classmate of Kōichi and a childhood friend of Ellen who knows both well.
- Akira Sekine as Akari Kishi, a self-centered but extraordinarily talented photo model.
- Kazuyuki Okitsu as Yūsuke Kamiya, a creative director with outstanding intuition and great charisma.
- Yurina Amami as Yurina Mitsuhashi, a younger copywriter colleague of Kōichi.
- Kōji Yusa as Hajime Yanagi, a capable but tyrannical creative director towards subordinates.
The involved voice actors have expressed their joy about participating in the project in separate statements. They referred to the emotional depth of the story and their motivation to appropriately portray the complex characters.
A new key visual for the series was released parallel to the cast announcement. It shows the protagonist Kōichi in the center, surrounded by other characters, all looking in different directions, which could symbolize the multifaceted perspectives of the plot.
Prior to the planned television broadcast, an exclusive premiere of the first three episodes will take place in selected cinemas across Japan. This special event is scheduled for one week starting March 27, 2026.
The anime production is being realized by Studio Shuka under the direction of Yuki Ogawa. The main roles of the two protagonists are voiced by Yuma Uchida as Kōichi and Saori Ōnishi as Ellen.
