The singer Ado will perform the opening for the new anime series "Gegege no Kitarō: Watashi no Aishita Rekidai Gegege." Alongside this announcement, a specially designed visual was also released, featuring Kitarō and Ado as characters designed by ORIHARA.

The series presents selected episodes from previous adaptations of "Gegege no Kitarō," a classic by Shigeru Mizuki. Each episode will be personally chosen by a former voice actor or actress of the titular character, including Masako Nozawa, Keiko Toda, Yōko Matsuoka, Minami Takayama, and Miyuki Sawashiro.

Ado herself has been a self-proclaimed fan of Kitarō and the numerous yokai characters in the series since childhood. She emphasizes her personal connection to the series and expresses her joy at now being able to be part of the project. In addition to her musical involvement, a visual motif was presented, designed by ORIHARA, which features Ado together with Kitarō in a distinctive illustration.

Additionally, a first short trailer was released, offering glimpses of the series and featuring Ado's song.
