The TV anime "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End," based on the work of Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe, has released new images and 11 new cast members for its second cour. Starting with Episode 17 on January 5, 2024, the anime will begin the "First-Class Sorcerer Exam Arc," which follows the journey of Frieren and Fern as they strive to qualify as First-Class Sorcerers, a requirement to enter the Northern Highlands.

Among the newly announced cast members are Azumi Waki as Kan'ne, Sayumi Suzushiro as Ravine, Kishou Taniyama as Viable, Ikumi Hasegawa as Yubel, Jiro Saito as Thinking, Masahiro Komatsu as Lanto, Eiji Hanawa as Judge, Shizuka Ishigami as Running, Kanae Ito as Aere, Haruka Terui as Zenze, and Tarusuke Shingaki as Exact.

Alongside the visual release, a promotional video for the "First-Class Sorcerer Exam Arc" was also showcased. It was announced that the new opening theme for this cour will be "Haruru" by Yorushika.
