The manga "Fuuto Tantei," written by Riku Sanjo and illustrated by Masaki Sato, is being adapted into a live-action film. Titled "Fuuto Tantei: Kamen Rider Skull no Shouzou," the movie will be screened in a limited release starting November 8.

"Fuuto Tantei" serves as a sequel to the tokusatsu drama "Kamen Rider W." The story follows private detective Shotaro Hidari and his partner Philip as they face new challenges in the seemingly peaceful city of Fuuto. The production team includes notable figures such as Toei producer Hideaki Tsukada for supervision, creature designer Katsuya Terada, and other staff members from "Kamen Rider W." The manga is serialized in Shogakukan’s Weekly Big Comic Spirits and was adapted into an anime series in 2022.

The film’s episode, titled "Begins Night," reveals unknown truths about the night Kamen Rider W was born, focusing on the events experienced by Shotaro, Philip, and Sokichi Narumi. A teaser visual for the film has been released, featuring a red-toned scene of Fuuto and the silhouette of a woman holding a Gaia Memory. A teaser video is also available.

The anime series' cast will reprise their roles: Yoshimasa Hosoya as Shotaro, Kouki Uchiyama as Philip, and Kenjiro Tsuda as Sokichi Narumi. Director Yosuke Kabashima will continue his role from the anime series, with animation production handled by Studio KAI.
