“Himekishi wa Barbaroi no Yome” is scheduled to be adapted as a TV anime in 2025

The manga Himekishi wa Barbaroi no Yome (The Princess Knight is the Bride of the Barbarian), written by Kotobano Ariaki, will officially receive a TV anime adaptation in 2025. Alongside this exciting announcement, a teaser image and a teaser promotional video have also been released.

The story follows Seraphina de Lavillant, a "princess knight" who, after being defeated in battle, is courted by Veol, the future leader of the barbarian tribe that defeated her. Though they were once enemies, Seraphina and Veol begin their life together as an engaged couple, forming the foundation of this unique romance story set in a fantasy world. The manga is currently serialized in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine (Kodansha), and the latest volume (Volume 8) is set to release on October 8.

The teaser image depicts Seraphina, known as the strongest warrior of her kingdom, in a dynamic battle against Veol. The teaser video offers a glimpse into the manga's plot, allowing viewers to follow the key events that lead to their engagement.

To celebrate the anime announcement, author Kotobano Ariaki shared an exclusive illustration and expressed her excitement: "Thanks to everyone's support, something amazing has happened! I’m very much looking forward to seeing Seraphina and the others in motion and speaking, and I hope you’re all excited too!"
