For the upcoming anime adaptation of the manga series AKEBI's Sailor Uniform by Hiro, the first trailer was released today. The video announces the main cast, additional staff, and the series' premiere date.
The cast includes:
- Manatsu Murakami as Komichi Akebi, the protagonist
- Sora Amamiya as Erika Kizaki, the first classmate Akebi meets
- Akari Kitō as Tōko Usagihara
- Shion Wakayama as Tomono Kojō
Miyuki Kuroki serves as director alongside series composer/screenwriter Rino Yamazaki and character designer Megumi Kouno at CloverWorks.
The anime is set to premiere in January 2022. "Asuka-chan no Sailor Fuku" has been serialized in Tonari no Young Jump (Shueisha) since 2016.
