"Alice to Dive in Wonderland" - First Japanese anime adaptation announced

Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland is being adapted into an anime film for the first time in Japan. The film is titled "Fushigi no Kuni no Alice -Dive in Wonderland-" and will be released on August 29.

The story centers on Rise, a girl from the modern world who one day finds herself in Wonderland. There, she meets Alice, and the adventure begins. Nanoha Hara voices the role of Rise, while Maika Puu lends her voice to Alice.

The film is directed by Toshiya Shinohara, with a screenplay by Yuko Kakihara. The animation is produced by P.A. Works, known for works such as Irozuku Sekai no Ashita kara and Shiroi Suna no Aquatope.

Along with the announcement, a "super teaser visual" was revealed, offering a first glimpse of the unique interpretation of Wonderland. Additionally, a special preview was released, featuring a dialogue between Rise and Alice.
