The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Sai Sumimori's novel series "Am I Actually the Strongest?" (Jitsu wa Ore, Saikyō deshita?) has announced the main cast, staff, and a July premiere date.

The main cast for the anime includes Ayumu Murase as Hart Zenfis, a shut-in who is reborn as an abandoned baby in another world; Atsumi Tanezaki as Charlotte Zenfis, Hart's younger sister; and Ayaka Shimizu as Flay, a Fenrir who becomes Hart's servant after a certain incident.

Takashi Naoya will direct the anime at Staple Entertainment, with Asami Matsuo serving as assistant director. Tatsuya Takahashi will oversee the series scripts and co-write them alongside Tetsuya Yamada. Shōko Yasuda will handle character design.

Kodansha Comics is releasing the manga adaptation of the novels by Ai Takahashi digitally in English. The story follows the newborn Reinhart, nicknamed Hart, who is abandoned by his royal parents after being deemed powerless. However, he soon discovers that his magic is incredibly potent and must navigate a dangerous world.

Sumimori began serializing the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in September 2018, where it is still ongoing. Kodansha published the first printed novel volume with illustrations by Ai Takahashi in May 2019 and released the fifth novel volume in October 2021. The manga adaptation launched in Kodansha's Suiyōbi no Sirius section of the Nico Nico Seiga website in April 2019.
