“Magic Knight Rayearth” celebrates its 30th birthday with a new animation project

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the originally by CLAMP created anime "Magic Knight Rayearth," a new animation project has been announced. In this context, a special visual and a promotional video have also been released.

The visual for the new anime series features the three main characters Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuuzaki, and Fuu Hououji, who are summoned as Magic Knights to the mystical world of Cephiro. Each character is depicted with their respective sword, gazing toward Cephiro.

"Magic Knight Rayearth" was serialized from 1993 to 1995 in Nakayoshi Magazine (published by Kodansha). The series was adapted into a popular TV anime in 1994 by Tokyo Movie, whose theme song "Yuzurenai Negai" by Naomi Tamura sold over a million copies.

The promotional video begins with colorful illustrations from the original manga and showcases scenes from the anime that aired 30 years ago, as well as the emotions of the characters and the progression of the story.
