“Marrying the Girl I Hate from Class” announces premiere in January 2025 with new cast and first trailer

The romantic anime comedy "Marrying the Girl I Hate from Class" has officially announced its premiere date for January 2025. The announcement was made today, September 16, during the "Aniplex Online Fest 2024," where the first promotional video for the upcoming season was also revealed.

The new promotional video gives viewers a first look at the anime series, showcasing the unexpected connection between Saigo Saito, a high-achieving high school student destined to inherit his grandfather's large business, and Akane Sakuramorino, the most unpopular girl in his class. The video captures the comedic and romantic dynamics of the series, featuring scenes where Saigo and Akane navigate their sudden marriage.

The main cast includes Shogo Sakata as Saigo Saito and Hinaki Yano as Akane Sakuramorino. The trailer also introduces additional cast members, such as Sayumi Suzushiro as Yumi Ishikura, Akane's best friend, and Nene Hieda as Ito Aoe, Saigo's cousin. Veteran voice actors Yoshitaka Otsuka and Fumi Hirano round out the ensemble as Saigo's grandfather Tenryu Hojo and Akane's grandmother Chiyo Sakuramorino, respectively.

Alongside the release of the visuals, the title song "Overcoming ‘Like and Hate’," performed by Hinaki Yano, was also officially announced. The song was featured in the promotional video, offering fans an auditory preview of the emotional and thematic undertones of the series.
