Warner Bros Japan has revealed a new four-minute trailer video of its new animation movie Ancien and the Magic Tablet on Saturday. Kenji Kamiyama is the director of this animation movie. The trailer movie is featuring the movie’s full theme song: Daydream Believer- the song is performed by Mitsuki Takahata: the lead actress of the film.
The film will be released on 18 March in Japan. Also, it will be screening at the New York International Children’s Film Festival (NYICFF) on 19 March in Japanese with English Subtitles.
The anime film story according to NYICFF:
The story of the film focuses on machine-driven future. A character of the animation, Kokone, is supposed to work hard for her university entrance exam, but she is not focusing on her study; she is continuously sleeping and wasting her time. In her dreams, she sees a strange dream in which she sees some kind of warring machines. After she sees the warren machines, the actual story of the animation is started.
Signal.MD is the animation studio of I.G Port and this is their first animation movie. The animation movie is directing by Kamiyama and also creating the script. Satoko Morikawa is the character designer of the anime, and Shigeto is a mechanical designer. The music of the animation is composing by Yoko Shimomura.
