Animation adaptation of "Jingai Kyoushitsu no Ningen-girai Kyoushi" announced

The light novel "Jingai Kyoushitsu no Ningen-girai Kyoushi" by author Kizuna Name will receive an anime adaptation in January 2026. The series carries the English title "The Misanthrope Teacher of a Non-Human Classroom".

The story focuses on Ningen Zero, a loner in his thirties who has developed a dislike for humans. Through an online job posting, he finds employment at a remote educational institution in the mountains. To his surprise, it is a school for non-human beings who strive to become human.

As the homeroom teacher for a group of female students of diverse origins – including a bird-type, a rabbit-type, a mermaid, and a werewolf – Zero begins to question his own aversion to humanity through his students' admiration for humankind.

The anime series is being directed by Akira Iwanaga at Studio Asread. Character design is handled by Maeko Okada, while Katsuhiko Takayama is in charge of series composition.

The voice cast includes:

- Toshiki Masuda as Ningen Zero

- Sora Amamiya as Mermaid Student Mizuki Kyouka

- Saori Oonishi as Werewolf Student Omori Issaku

- Maria Nagase as Rabbit Student Usami Koyomi

- Rui Tanabe as Crow Student Haneda Tobari

The original work by Kizuna Name, who is also active as a virtual talent, is already very popular. A manga adaptation by Atsu Kureno is also being published, with its fourth volume releasing on September 26.

To announce the anime adaptation, a first visual teaser and a promo video were released, offering first glimpses of the animated adaptation. The ending theme of the series will be the character song "Ningen Come True!", performed by the four main student characters.
