Animation film Hyakuemu presents main trailer and soundtrack details

For the upcoming theatrical premiere of the feature-length animation project Hyakuemu (Eng. 100 Meters), crucial production details have been released. Based on Uo Yutaka's manga at Kōdansha, the newly unveiled main trailer showcases the lifelong development of protagonists Togashi and Komiya, whose fates become intertwined through their passion for sprint distances.

The official movie poster visualizes the dynamic running motion of both characters, accompanied by the slogan "Memorize this distance." The soundtrack is handled by the band Official Hige Dandism with the specially composed theme song Rashisa (Ger. Authenticity), conceived as a tribute to human resilience. Band members expressed that the work reflects the struggle against internal and external obstacles.

The plot follows the sprinters from their childhood into adulthood, exploring differing motivations—innate talent versus passionate training. Studio Colorido (Penguin Highway, A Whisker Away) handles the animation under the direction of Yamada Yūsuke. The theatrical release is set for September 19, 2025, in Japanese cinemas.
