After seven years of silence surrounding the winning project of 'Project ANIMA': Animation studio Doga Kobo has officially announced the original TV anime 'Mebius Dust', which will premiere later this year. Simultaneously, the main staff, a teaser visual, and a first trailer were released.

'Mebius Dust' is the adaptation of the eponymous original work by Hajime Shinagawa, which won the Grand Prix in the 'Kids/Game' category of the newcomer competition 'Project ANIMA' in 2019. The story centers on the three high school students Araki, Stella, and Olga, whose everyday life in a cozy suburb – characterized by games, visits to the public bath, and the way home – could take an unexpected turn. The teaser promotes with the slogan 'This is our 'everyday life''.

Direction is by Tarō Iwasaki, known for works such as 'Sweetness and Lightning' and 'Bibliophile Princess'. Series composition is handled by Yoriko Tomita, who was previously involved in projects like 'My Dress-Up Darling' and 'The Elusive Samurai'.

'Mebius Dust' is the third anime to be produced under 'Project ANIMA', following 'Sakugan' (2021) and 'The Stories of Girls Who Couldn’t Become Magicians' (2024). Further details regarding the cast and the exact broadcast date are expected to follow in the coming months.
