The animation project "Make a Girl" has recently confirmed Atsumi Tanezaki and Shun Horie as its main cast members.
"Make a Girl," the first feature-length anime by Yasuda Phenomenon, is set in a near-future world. It tells the story of the brilliant young scientist Akira Mitarai, who has succeeded in bringing to market a robot named Salt, designed to assist people in their daily lives. However, after a series of failures with new inventions, Akira finds himself at a crossroads. Inspired by a friend's suggestion that creating a "girlfriend" might be the key to unlocking new potential, Akira begins a project to scientifically create an artificial human, called Number 0. Programmed with emotions resembling love for Akira, Number 0 starts grappling with the nature of her feelings, questioning whether her heart is real or artificial.
Tanezaki voices the role of Number 0, while Horie lends his voice to Akira. The role of Salt has not yet been announced.
