Anime adaptation announced: "Himekishi wa barbaroi no yome-the knight princess as the bride of the barbarians" starts in autumn

The anime adaptation of Noriaki Kotoba's manga "Himekishi wa Barbaroi no Yome" ("The Knight Princess as the Barbarian's Bride") has been officially announced for this fall. Alongside the announcement, the first key visual and a promotional video introducing the main cast were released.

The series tells a romantic story set in a fantasy backdrop: After the knight princess Seraphina de Lavillant suffers a decisive defeat against the barbarian tribes, she surprisingly receives a marriage proposal from her conqueror Veol, the future leader of the barbarians. Despite their past as enemies, Seraphina and Veol thus begin a new life together.

The released key visual depicts Seraphina and Veol in a romantic scene, standing together under the moonlight.

The cast includes Sayumi Suzushiro as Seraphina, Satoshi Inomata as Veol, Kana Hishikawa as Veol's servant Tsezi, and Aki Toyosaki as Marcías, a priestess who seeks to rescue Seraphina from the barbarians' hands. A first video also showcases initial scenes from the series.
