Anime adaptation [i]How I Could Never Be a Girlfriend! (Or Could I?)[/i] reveals main theme and new trailer

The anime series Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wake Nai Jan, Muri Muri! (※Muri ja Nakatta!?) (eng. "How I Could Never Be a Girlfriend! Or Could I?") has received a new key visual and a detailed promotional trailer.

The central poster features protagonist Amaori Renako together with the four main characters Ōzuka Mayui, Sena Shia, Koto Satsuki, and Koyanagi Kaho. The freshly released promotional video already hints at some of the exciting and humorous scenes between Renako and Mayui.

At the same time, the casting for the role of Amaori Haruna, Renako's younger sister, has been announced: Mayu Sagara will provide the voice for the character.

The musical contributions have also been confirmed:

- The opening "Muri Muri Shinkaron" (eng. "Theory of Impossible Evolution") is by Nanawo Akari.

- The ending "Mayotchau wa" ("I'm Confused") will be performed by Philosophy no Dance.

Both songs can already be heard in the trailer.

The story centers on Renako, who struggles to fit into the world of popular girls at her new high school. Through unexpected encounters with four classmates, an entertaining and romantic comedy unfolds.

The series is scheduled to start on July 7.
