The second season of the anime series "Mato Seihei no Slave" (魔都精兵のスレイブ, Slave of the Magic Capital's Elite Troops) will be released in January 2026. Based on the original work created by Takahiro and Takehara Ryuhei, a first promo video has now been released.

The new season begins with the group leader conference from the sixth collected volume, in which all leaders of the magical defense troops come together. The video shows, among others, the characters Tatara Konomi, leader of the First Group, as well as Yamashiro Koi, who simultaneously serves as supreme commander and leader of the Tenth Group. In total, nine group leaders are shown.

Further insights show the members of the Seventh Group around the protagonist Waku Yuuki as well as some missions of the Sixth Group. For the first time, dialogues by Koi and the character Uwatsumi Mira can be heard. The release date of the video also coincides with the birthday of Usami Kyoka, the leader of the Seventh Group. On this occasion, the official X account presented a special illustration created by character designer Nakano Keiya.

The plot of "Mato Seihei no Slave" revolves around a special combat unit that protects the population from threats from a magical metropolis. The protagonist Yuuki unfolds his abilities in this environment and develops into a central figure in the conflicts. The nineteenth volume of the original manga series is released today.
