The manga series "1-Tatami Mankitsu Living!" by Himasaku Mako is getting an anime adaptation. This was officially announced.

The story follows Morita Meiko, who moves from the countryside to Tokyo to attend a prestigious girls' school. In exchange for tuition-free studies, she takes on a job at the manga café "Hedgehog," which also serves as a girls' dormitory. There, she meets various residents: the manager and operator Amamiya Rie, the popular livestreamer Suzuki Marika, and the passionate gamer Nakano Neo.

The work combines humorous elements with a slightly erotic tone within the unusual café-dormitory setting. The original manga is published by Houbunsha and currently has three volumes released. A fourth volume will follow on July 26.

Himasaku Mako commented on the anime production, sharing that the entire team is working hard to create an entertaining adaptation. She hopes for the viewers' supportive companionship for Meiko and the other characters. The announcement of the anime adaptation can also be found in the latest issue of the magazine "Manga Time Kirara."
