Anime adaptation of “Freezing: Beyond Journey’s End” debuts in special TV slot with new theme music

The anime adaptation of the popular manga "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" has raised the curtain in style. The anime kicked off with a two-hour special, securing a unique spot in NTV's "Kinyō Roadshow," which traditionally features feature films. This marks the first time an anime has received this special treatment. Subsequent episodes will be part of NTV's new anime programming, "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT," and will run until March 2024.

In addition to the music, a fully animated music video for "Yūsha" has been released, produced by Madhouse—the same studio behind the anime series.





At the heart of the story is Frieren, an elven mage who embarks on a journey of self-discovery after the end of her epic quest. She and her allies have defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the world, but she struggles with the reality of her long lifespan compared to her human companions. Attending the funeral of a former comrade, Frieren becomes acutely aware of her near-immortality and sets out on a new quest to fulfill the last wishes of her friends.
