Anime adaptation of "Aru Hi, Ohimesama ni Natta Koto ni Tsuite" announced

The manga series "Aru Hi, Ohimesama ni Natta Koto ni Tsuite" (ある日、お姫様になってしまった件について, Suddenly Becoming a Princess) by Plutus and Spoon is receiving an anime adaptation. The German-language version of the production will be available from October. Accompanying this announcement, a first visual teaser and a preliminary video were published.

The source material has recorded over 200 million views and more than 2.2 million printed and digital sales units. In the fifth edition of the ranking "Manga Recommended for Anime Adaptation," the story placed second in 2024. The Chinese platforms iQIYI and Kuaikan are involved in the production of the animation series.

At the center of the plot is Athanasia, a princess of the magical Obaria Empire, who possesses the gift of gaining insights into her own future. Neglected by the emperor Claude since her birth, she grows up isolated in the Ruby Palace. When she sees in a vision her banishment by her own father on her eighteenth birthday, she decides to oppose this fate.

The voice cast of the main characters includes, among others, the voices of Morohoshi Sumire as Athanasia, Maeno Tomoaki as Emperor Claude, Kimura Ryohei as Knight Felix, Okamoto Nobuhiko as Magician Lucas, Umeda Shuichiro as Ezekiel, and Iwami Manaka as Jennette.
