Anime adaptation of “Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto” announced

The light novel "Silent Witch: Chinmoku no Majo no Kakushigoto" by Matsuri Isora is being adapted into an anime. This was announced today, August 2, during the "Aniplex×KADOKAWA Anime Festival" on the official YouTube channel of Aniplex and ABEMA. Saaya Aizawa will play the lead role of Monica Everett.

"Silent Witch" is a high-fantasy story that has been serialized on the platform "Shōsetsuka ni Narō" since 2020 and published as a book series by KADOKAWA. The plot revolves around Monica Everett, one of the Seven Sages of the Kingdom of Ridil, who is the first human in history capable of casting magic without words. Despite her incredible talent, she is extremely shy and reserved. She lives secluded in the mountains with her black cat, devoting herself to research.

Her quiet life changes abruptly when her fellow mage Luis Miller entrusts her with a royal mission: she must go undercover at an elite school for nobles and protect the second prince. Monica must now face her fear of people and use her magical abilities to fulfill her secret mission.
