Yosuke Tokino's light novel "Kanchigai No Atelier Master" will officially receive an anime adaptation, set to premiere in April 2025. Along with this announcement, the main cast, staff, teaser visual, and first teaser trailer were also revealed.
The story follows Kurt, a boy who excels at everything except fighting and achieves an SSS rank in all fields unrelated to combat. After being labeled as "useless" and expelled from the hero's party, Kurt unknowingly uses his extraordinary abilities to help people, save cities, and even influence nations, all while remaining unaware of his own talents. The original novel currently spans 10 volumes and is published by AlphaPolis.
The protagonist Kurt is voiced by Mikako Komatsu, while Asami Seto plays Eulicia, a former royal adventurer who acts as Kurt's protector. Minami Tanaka voices Lieselotte, the third princess of the Kingdom of Homuros, who admires Kurt. Hisashi Ishii directs the series, Deko Akao is in charge of series composition, Miyuki Nakamura handles character designs, and Shunji Watanabe composes the music. The animation production is handled by EMT Squared.
To celebrate the announcement, congratulatory illustrations from the original artist Zounose and manga artist Furukawa were released. The teaser video shows Kurt holding a magical crystal while Eulicia and Lieselotte peer over his shoulder.
